Ska… The great, post-mento, Jamaican, music style that would eventually give birth to reggae music.

Who doesn’t love some ska? I know I sure as hell do!

In the early days of ska, bands like The Skatalites began the long-running tradition of inserting the word “ska” into the actual name of the band. Many bands have since followed suit. The Memphiskaphiles, Bim Skala Bim, and the list goes on.

Many years ago, Fancy and I, amused by this trend, began making the ultimate list of ska band names.
